The Secret to Praying for Prosperity

Please watch: “The ONE Thing Every Christian Should Be Doing But Most Are NOT!” –~–

Let’s say you have an idea, a business or a ministry that you want God to bless. How do you pray? That’s coming up next on the BEAT.

Hey everyone my name is Allen Parr thank you all so much for visiting my channel. Here on the BEAT we release a new video every single Tuesday and today I am SO excited to share with you a short but powerful prayer that I’ve been praying particularly over the past couple years that God has been faithful to answer. This prayer is only one verse long but it has four parts to it and it can be found in 1 Chronicles 4:10.

1. Pray for God’s Blessing – The prayer starts out by saying…“Oh that you would bless me indeed…
a. So here you’re simply humbly asking God to bless you, your business, your idea or whatever it is you are trusting God for. You’re not coming naming and claiming or demanding anything from Him but rather recognizing that again and again in His word God invites His children to let our requests be made known to Him.
b. Did you know that there were some things that ONLY happened in the Bible because people were bold enough to ask God to do it?
c. I’m reminded of a man named Hezekiah who was on his death bed who cried out to God and said, “God would you be so gracious to extend my life?” And God essentially said, “Because you asked I’m going to add 15 years to your life.”

2. Pray for Influence rather than Affluence – “…enlarge my territory…”
a. Here is when we check our own motivation as to why we are asking God to bless us.
b. God give me a bigger business so that I can have a wider sphere of influence on more people so I can make an eternal impact on their life and trust that as your influence expands God will bring the affluence if it’s His will.
c. So if your motivation is to reach more people for Jesus Christ with your idea then why would God not want to enlarge your territory?

3. Pray for Favor – “and that your hand might be with me…”
a. This is where you ask God to do what you cannot do. This is where the natural stops and the supernatural takes over. It’s where your Preparation meets God’s Providence…
b. It’s here that you recognize that no matter how skillful, intelligent, and resourceful you are you cannot accomplish what God wants you to accomplish by yourself. You need God’s power and His favor upon you because when God’s hand is on something it CANNOT be stopped!
c. So here you are praying for two primary things…
i. RELATIONSHIPS/PEOPLE – Bring the right people to me to help me pull this off. Pray that God would supernaturally ordain the right relationships. Give me favor with people. Open up the right doors and opportunities.
ii. RESOURCES/PROVISIONS – You’re praying for God to provide supernaturally. You’re praying that you would literally see the hand of God working behind the scenes so that you have the confidence to know that God has your back on what you’re asking Him for.
iii. REACH/PROMOTION – Pray that God would promote you to help you reach the people He intends for you to reach.

4. Pray for Protection – “…keep me from harm that I may not experience pain.”
a. Here you are praying that God would protect you from people who are jealous, envious, vindictive, have secret agendas and people who don’t have the best interest at heart for whatever it is you are trusting God for.
b. Pray that God would keep you and your business covered from any and all attacks that may distract, derail or ultimately destroy you.

This one verse although short is packed with power! So I want to encourage you to start praying these four things over your life, your family, your business and your ministry or any other idea you’re trusting God for today and trust God to prosper you as He sees fit.

Let this prayer be not something you quote verbatim necessarily but a guide for how to pray.

There is something within us that is often times uncomfortable to ask God to bless something that we are doing. But I want you to notice one thing. This is not name it and claim it. He did not come to God in a prideful way demanding that God give him a specific blessing. He left that up to God and simply said, “God in whatever way you want to bless me I’m content.”

Be bold to ask God to bless your business – What I love is that he let God determine how he wanted to bless him (financially, people, etc.)

  1. So do we pray for prosperity or sow financial seeds for prosperity?? I've heard conflicting messages about this. But the Bible does say that God won't be mocked concerning this. And Jesus said to pray about it (Matthew 6:32) but he didn't say prosperity. Jesus talked about the Father knowing what we have need of! Anyway what you say about those seemingly conflicting messages

  2. Paul warned Timothy about such men in 1 Timothy 6:5, 9-11. These men of “corrupt mind” supposed godliness was a means of gain and their desire for riches was a trap that brought them “into ruin and destruction” (v. 9). The pursuit of wealth is a dangerous path for Christians and one which God warns about: “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs” (v. 10). If riches were a reasonable goal for the godly, Jesus would have pursued it. But He did not, preferring instead to have no place to lay His head (Matthew 8:20) and teaching His disciples to do the same. It should also be remembered that the only disciple concerned with wealth was Judas.

Paul said covetousness is idolatry (Ephesians 5:5) and instructed the Ephesians to avoid anyone who brought a message of immorality or covetousness (Ephesians 5:6-7). Prosperity teaching prohibits God from working on His own, meaning that God is not Lord of all because He cannot work until we release Him to do so. Faith, according to the Word of Faith doctrine, is not submissive trust in God; faith is a formula by which we manipulate the spiritual laws that prosperity teachers believe govern the universe. As the name “Word of Faith” implies, this movement teaches that faith is a matter of what we say more than whom we trust or what truths we embrace and affirm in our hearts.

  3. Thankyou so much for preaching this Allen. Thankyou for making it clear for me. And I can say this clearly that absolutely this is not a prosperity gospel shit!!! But a real thing(s) to pray about, not demand!!!❤️

  4. @ 24 I asked God the power to heal in His sons name and wisdom. He granted me BUT I should have asked for unlimited wealth instead cause life sucks.

  5. God will not bring prosperity if it is not in His will. Also I do not believe that God wants all Christians to be rich. Many of the apostles we not rich.

  6. So for the ones who are against this how are we to live with out being prosperous cause my child need school clothes now and i got Bills so what's your solution and I pay tithes and offerings.Oh yeah health concerns and no job.

  7. Reminds me of King Solomon

    2 Chronicles 1:7-13

7 In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask what I shall give you.” 8 And Solomon said to God, “You have shown great and steadfast love to David my father, and have made me king in his place. 9 O Lord God, let your word to David my father be now fulfilled, for you have made me king over a people as numerous as the dust of the earth. 10 Give me now wisdom and knowledge to go out and come in before this people, for who can govern this people of yours, which is so great?” 11 God answered Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked for possessions, wealth, honor, or the life of those who hate you, and have not even asked for long life, but have asked for wisdom and knowledge for yourself that you may govern my people over whom I have made you king, 12 wisdom and knowledge are granted to you. I will also give you riches, possessions, and honor, such as none of the kings had who were before you, and none after you shall have the like.” 13 So Solomon came from the high place at Gibeon, from before the tent of meeting, to Jerusalem. And he reigned over Israel.

  8. Thanks. Sincerity & urgency with a high purpose are necessary too… "O Son of Light! Forget all save Me and commune with My spirit. This is of the essence of My command, therefore turn unto it." ~ Baha'u'llah, The Hidden Words

  9. i think before we ask for blessing, we should know what blessing means. Look at the history of Jacob. He just believed the word of his father that he was blessed. Without getting any provision or material instantly. He worked 20 years for Laban till it manifested itself through his wealth. Is blessing something tangible? No. Blessing means, god is taking care of you. All things that we acquire physically are just symbols of blessing if you believe. Can we say that heathen are blesse too? Because they also get promoted, money, married etc. the difference is, god doesn't hold his hands over their life. Therefore they aren't blessed. If someone thinks car is a blessing, what is the same car worth after 6 years or if it get damaged? Blessing is not physically, it's godly, without loosing its value! I just needed to add it, because the words itself is for most people more difficult to understand.
