Morning Prayer with the Oblates: Tuesday August 10th

Dear friends, we join Pádraig for morning prayer on the feast of Saint Lawrence, August 10th. Saint Laurence was a martyr of the early church, and in today’s gospel we hear about the wheat grain that had to first die to yield a great harvest – this gospel could indeed be about him.

Jesus said to his disciples:
‘I tell you, most solemnly,
unless a wheat grain falls on the ground and dies,
it remains only a single grain;
but if it dies,
it yields a rich harvest.

Thank you for joining our prayer this morning.
