Landscapers | Official Trailer | HBO

This doesn’t paint a very pretty picture, does it? HBO’s four-episode limited series Landscapers, starring Emmy-winner Olivia Colman and Emmy nominee David Thewlis, debuts Monday, December 6 on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max.

Inspired by real events, Landscapers tells a unique love story involving Chris and Susan Edwards (Thewlis and Colman), a seemingly ordinary British couple who become the focus of an extraordinary investigation when two dead bodies are discovered in the back garden of a house in Nottingham. Will Sharpe directs the exploration of love and fantasy, which is created and written by screenwriter Ed Sinclair. Additional cast includes Kate O’ Flynn, Dipo Ola, Samuel Anderson, David Hayman, Felicity Montagu and Daniel Rigby.

Landscapers is produced by SISTER in association with South of the River Pictures for HBO and Sky Studios. Executive Producers are Jane Featherstone and Chris Fry for SISTER, and Ed Sinclair and Olivia Colman for South of the River Pictures. Landscapers is produced by Katie Carpenter and directed by Will Sharpe who also serves as Executive Producer.

  1. Just when I was bored to tears with action, drama, fantasy I found myself watching this and was suddenly involved in true humour, great drama, magnificent acting, and beautiful style. I would recommend this to anyone, it's quiet genius.

  2. Olivia Colman surpasses the wonderful Meryl Streep. There I said it. It’s her, Meryl Streep, Sally Field, Judi Dench, who in my opinion are the greatest living actresses. Probably period. Kate Blanchett & Kate Winslet are close up there. But it’s the first “fab four” for me. I will watch almost anything they are in, bc I do not see them, I just simply see the characters they play without it being too weird or too much:) Just peeps making good movies:) Don’t care for Hollywood but there’s a few I really respect.

  3. I loved this series, so powerful and thought provoking. A beautiful love story at the heart of it also, very creative using different cinematic genres to tell the story..TV is now in its new golden age!

  4. Great serie.
But I noticed a gaffe : Christopher says "it was on a Friday because every Friday we have fish and chips".
Then the commentry says "they had fish and chips and watched the Eurovision song contest on tv"
but Eurovision has been always on Saturday night since ever.

  5. I wanna make sure Christopher Edwards wasn’t accidentally released to make this series. The resemblance between actor and murderer is the music selection for this series (haunting). 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🙌🏻

  7. I knew Olivia just for the first time when she was nominated then won Oscar in The Favourite. Then after that i fell in love with her and watched every single performances of hers, including The Crown (too late i know). She is perfection in every way, and i love her personality so much, she is very hilarious, but she can also act very serious and heartbreaking.

  8. Thankfully they put real news reports at the end, it sort of brings things together. The only other way to follow the actual story is to look the case up on the internet. Other wise very difficult to follow, from starting in the midlle of the story in the first episode, which leaves the story in disary. To characters portrayed in the drama as not quite there, giving testimony that may or not be true, is she intentionally lieing or delusional? Very convoluted. So called black comedy goes nowhere! If anything else to watch, I would be watching.

  9. Fabulous. Mwwwwah. Simon Peg-gian winking eye on so many facets of English life, albeit done in a totally different style. Masterful undercurrents of surrealism and darkness underpin the amazing ordinariness of British lives depicted herein. Marvelous.
