  1. What a cracking series. We lost, deservedly so, but I'm still very proud of the boys. To go against a straight up better team in their own backyard and walk away with a win and a tight loss is nothing to be ashamed of, especially considering I was expecting a complete whitewash.

Massive props to the actual winners as well of course lol. The Boks are always a special team to watch play.

  2. Certainly it was a dominant performance by the Boks to win yhe series.
However could it be said that Wales despite losing the series has left South Africa with a more positive outcome ?
The first test could easily have been a Welsh win. The second test was the first Welsh win in South Africa .In the 3rd the Boks blew Wales away.

Performance wise which side do posters think would be happier over the 3 tests.

Finally how do fans feel about yhe outcome. The second test loss lost the Boks their world ranking dropping to 3rd.Ofcourse they still retain the title of World Champions, but excuses aside on examining their results of last 12 months are they now really the best side.
Also can Wales build on their experience on this tour ?

  3. Springboks started this game exactly how champions do, immediately start going at it and showing Wales who’s boss.

Springboks literally said “We aren’t losing this game”.

  4. A Springbok team with ball in hand playing at pace is a dangerous animal indeed. Much better performance than the horrendous first 2 games. We were unlucky not to score more. The welsh should have been carded a few times due to very clear cynical penalties that clearly was meant to stop the boks illegally.

  5. Great weekend of Rugby, this was the only one that wasn't really tight in the last minutes, and if you haven't seen it USA v Chile for a place at RWC is a great watch

  6. When giving opportunities to gel new/depth players, Boks coaching staff shouldn't make so many changes for a test, like 3-5 at most. But it needs to be done at some point, because SA have so many good players rn.

  7. I stand to be corrected and maybe out the loop, but the first try from Wales should have been a penalty to South Africa as he was held in the tackle and the ball touched ground therefore he's playing the ball on the ground ?

  8. Yes, we've won but our defensive system isn't working that effective anymore. OUR WINGERS MUST MARK THEIR OPPONENTS AND STOP SHOOTING INWARDS AS WE LEAVE MASSIVE OVERLAPS OPEN WHEN OUR WINGERS SHOOT INWARDS.

  9. That first Springboks try came after what, four/ five consecutive penalties given against Wales?!
Watching it just felt like it was inevitable and it was in the script that SA had to score a try early on.

Wales should probably have had a yellow card in the first half for all the penalties, but Mapimpi got away with two headshots too that should have seen him sent to the bin.

Some of the refs decision making was weird. The advantages he played in particular – not only did they last forever but when the team in possession kicked the ball away he let the advantage continue. Didn’t understand that at all.
