How can you possibly trust Christ alone for salvation when you are also trusting in your performance ( repenting of sins/obedience )?
You absolutely can't.
Jesus is Lord God Almighty clothed in unsinful humanity and He is the author of eternal life to all who trust Him alone for salvation.
Saving repentance is realizing that you are a sinner deserving of God's just punishment in Hell and turn (repent) from whatever you trusted in before, if indeed you trusted in anything; to trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone for salvation.
Jesus paid for all the sins of all the world at the cross (past, present, and future). That payment is put to your account when you have believed on Christ alone for salvation. God immediately declares you justified and gives you everlasting life as a free gift.
Salvation is absolutely free, instant, and eternal, recieved solely by trusting in the person and finished work of Christ alone, and is certainly not conditional upon service to God.
Service (discipleship) if you choose it can cost you everything if you go all out in serving God. Our good works, repenting of sins, and obedience, are for temporal fellowship with God here on earth and for rewards in Heaven or a lack thereof and have absolutely nothing to do with salvation at all.
The only reason anyone will ever be in Heaven is solely by the perfect life, shed blood, death, burial, and resurrection, of Jesus Christ alone.
Anything added or subtracted from this is another gospel.

Let's review: What must I do to be saved?
Make a commitment? Promise to follow Jesus? Surrender my will? Pick up my cross daily? Make Jesus Lord and Master of my life? Repent of my sins? Give my life to Christ? Etc???

For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Please pray for my marriage! My husband isn’t saved! We’ve been married since 1997 and I’ve prayed for all those years for his salvation! When he was 7 years old he was put in a children’s home that was ran like a prison. It was a Catholic children’s home so he never learned about love or morals. I’ve talked to him about God and that his love will free you of your past! I’m raising our twin boys in church and teaching them all I can! One of them have been saved and baptized. The other says he’s saved. I have started going to Christian counseling recently! WOW! Thank you for calling out the abuse of children physically and sexually! In all my years in church? I’ve never heard another preacher call out the discussing act! How can anyone look at a kid and think like that? People who especially sexually abuse a child deserves to be sent to meet the Lord

I have faith in God that he will restore my parents marriage. That even though my father wants a divorce God will be by our side to help fix any problems.
May God have His hand on America and may all people mind their own business and stay out of other peoples relationships and life and trust in the Lord. That’s what is missing, people try ruling and judging other people’s life and they need to stop and put it in God’s hands only because He has it and if they would fully trust in God instead of trying to control all things then this world would be a better place and we wouldn’t have such a mess. Billy Graham is saying in this message all people are to be accepted in the Lord’s house and I know he trusted God with all that he was and society needs to stop with all they do judging others like they aren’t good and human. They treat others terrible that is a fact and I pray for this society!
